14 Jun 2008 - Fintray Walkers - Brown Cow Hill

A hardy group of 7 took to the hills around Corgaff to complete the walk up the Corbett of Brown Cow Hill. The weather was pretty poor and waterproofs were donned at the start and stayed on all day.

The long walk in (see picture opposite) led to a steep climb to Cairn Culchavie where a detour was made to the Well of Don, the source of Fintrays own river Don. (see picture below).

Little Geal Charn then Meikle Geal Charn were walked over with lunch taken at the later. It was then up to the summit of Brown Cown Hill.

The route then took us north into the face of the weather then down by the Cock Burn back to Corgaff Castle where the cars were. A great day despite the weather the type of which can be seen from the skies behind the castle on the picture below.
