A walk, Bucks Fizz and the Playboy Bunny !!

The Fintray Walkers headed for Milltown of Towie, 8 strong, with another 3 meeting us at the start point.

A short spell of road walking led to a track which after about an hour and a half found us at Lazy Well and a locked hut. Lunch was about to be   taken outside when Anne and May produced something they had prepared earlier, Bucks Fizz and smoked salmon sandwiches no less. These were accepted all round and thoroughly enjoyed (see picture opposite)

A climb up towards the top of Broom Hill saw the views all around open up with Morven (see picture below) and Lochnagar in the southwest, the Buck at the Carbrach to the north and Clachnaben to the southeast, all still coated with an icing like covering of snow.

Just before the summit of Broom Hill we headed nothwards to get back to the cars via the track above the Socach Burn. A round trip of 8 and a    half miles and a fair amount of height gained by the mid point.  The local wildlife was much in evidence all day with plenty with pheasant, grouse, hare, deer, frogs and also lambs so small that you wouldn’t believe their spindly little legs would carry them. The Playboy Bunny also made an appearance, see if you can spot it in the final picture below.
